Open Studio & Events
Looking to learn a new craft or refresh your artistic skills? We offer open studio hours where you can dive into jewelry making, printmaking, collage, painting, and so much more. Whether you're a total beginner or hoping to refine your technique, our welcoming space is the perfect place for creativity to thrive.

Prefer a more guided experience? Check out our rotating workshops and special events, including Kids Night Out and Tween Night, held every third Saturday of the month. There’s always something creative happening—come make something awesome with us!
Art Classes
Artists will dive into the creative process and explore their full artistic potential in a fun, supportive environment. Through engaging projects and guided instruction, students experiment with a wide variety of art materials, develop foundational skills, and build confidence in their creativity. Designed for children ages 4 and up, our classes are offered after school and on Saturdays to fit your family’s schedule. Whether your child is just beginning their artistic journey or ready to grow their skills, our classes will inspire them to think outside the box and unleash their imagination.
Day Camp & Summer Camp
Looking for a creative way for your artist to spend their day off from school? The Color Wheel offers exciting day camps during school holidays and week-long camps throughout the summer. These camps are designed for students in Kindergarten through 5th Grade and provide a fun, hands-on environment for kids to explore their creativity. Whether they’re trying their hand at painting, sculpture, or mixed media, each camp encourages self-expression while offering a variety of artistic activities. It’s the perfect opportunity for young artists to discover new skills and make lasting memories during their break!
Parties & Private Events
Looking for a unique way to celebrate your birthday or enjoy a mom’s night out? Host your party at The Color Wheel! Our art-themed parties include all the instruction and supplies needed for your chosen activity. You pick the theme, bring the food and drinks, and we’ll take care of the rest! It's also a great option for field trips or Girl Scout meetings, offering a fun and creative experience for all ages. Let us help make your special event memorable!
Directions to The Color Wheel
Our studio is located in Houston, Texas at First Industrial Studios within Sawyer Yards. We know it can be a bit tricky to find us, as our studio faces the railroad tracks on Winter Street. The best way to get to us is by entering the yards by Henderson Street via Crockett Street or by entering off Silver Street by Momentum Climbing Gym. There is available parking for visitors at Main Yard Parking located at 2101 Winter Street. If you find yourself parking at the parking lot on Edwards Street, take the breezeway and turn right to find us!
